What we do
The weekly sessions will be carried out in a warm, modern, safe environment with plenty of space for the group to be divided if required, into dance, drama or singing groups. Musbury Hall in East Devon has a good stage, a seating capacity of 120, further rooms and two kitchens.
Our students will learn improvisation, script work, characterisation, vocal projection, breathing techniques, audition work, various different dance styles, ensemble work....and much more.
This year we will working towards an exciting new production based on Aesop’s Fables. Our students will perform at the end of the year, with full sound, lights, mics, costumes and props. The performance will be open to the public, but each student will have two free ‘family’ tickets. Our schools always support children’s charities and the Musbury performance will help to raise funds for South West Children’s Hospice by donating 50% of the ticket sales.
Back to Broadway Schools are associated with Back to Broadway the Musical, a professional musical theatre stage show currently playing major theatres throughout the UK. Our Summer Schools have been operating for four years, and our first Saturday School opened in April 2011....with more to come in 2012/13!
Our aim is to encourage and develop talent, confidence , imagination, self awareness, determination and team building skills, whilst training in the three disciplines of musical theatre.
But above all.....we aim to make it a fun and happy start to their weekend!
